Undeniably, a visit to the Cathedral of Valencia is listed among the greatest attractions during the Spanish Motofiesta.
The Cathedral is basically a Catanal-Mediterranean Gothic building, but you can find several styles inside – it also consists of neoclassical, Renaissance and Baroque elements, as well as the elements of French Gothic.
According to the medieval sources, it is also known as a place where the Holy Grail is kept.
It is revered in the Chapel of the Holy Grail in the aisle of the Cathedral.
In Christian tradition, the Holy Grail is the chalice that Jesus used at the Last Supper. The Holy Chalice, dated to the first century, was donated to the Cathedral in 1436 by the King Alfonso V of Aragonese.
