Here we present some fantastic places worth visiting during the Southern Spain trip:
Caminito del Rey
“The King’s Pathway” – a unique walkway pinned along the steep walls of a limestone gorge in El Chorro, hailed as the best tourist attraction in Spain after its renovation.
The Guadalhorce River flows at the bottom of the gorge and its walls, the vertical rocky cliffs, are over 100 meters high.
The King’s Pathway leads mostly along the right wall of the gorge (right bank of the river), through the concrete platforms attached with steel booms to the rock, mainly at a height of several dozen meters above the bottom of the gorge. The opposite, left wall of the gorge is cut by bridges and the carved into the rock tunnels with the railway line.
The pathway is full of the information boards about the region’s flora and fauna as well as those that tell you about the distance covered and the one that is still to cover.
If you like the adrenaline rush and are not afraid of the height, our trip is the best idea for you!
